NFA loses to Wallkill

Posted Saturday, April 08, 2006 by Lee Cobb

The Goldbacks travelled to Wallkill today. The weather turned out to be better than expected for early april. Starting the game in a light rain and ending with snow was certainlly a new experience for some of the players. Wallkill jumped out to a 5-0 halftime lead and were never in danger of giving it up. Once again the Goldbacks put up a superb effort. Long stick middie Nick Digilio started off the scoring for NFA with his first ever goal. The other two scorers were Pat McKeon and A.J. Carubia. They game was a hard hitting affair but the officials did an excellent job. Neither team showed any signs of being out of control. It was just a good old fashioned lacrosse game by both sides. The Goldbacks travel to Kingston on Tuesday for their first divisional game of the year. 6pm start
